Before you begin, grab:

A mobile device with the Pool Angel App (iOS 12+ or Android 6.0+)

A broadband internet connection (min. 5 Mbps upload speed)

Power drill and drill bits

Phillips head + flat head screwdrivers

📍 Where to Mount Your Camera

To get the best coverage and performance:

Best Practices

Mount 10 feet off the ground, tilted slightly downward

Place it at least 6 ft away from any pool edge

Ensure a clear, unobstructed view of the pool and surrounding area

Keep your home router within 15m of the mounting point

Avoid These

Avoid placing it where trees, umbrellas, hoops, or pool furniture could block its view

Do not exceed 50 ft distance between the camera and the furthest point of the pool

🧱 Quick Installation Steps

Choose Your Spot

Mark your chosen mounting location. Use the supplied fasteners to secure the camera 10 ft above ground.

Connect the Alarm Module

Mount it within 3 ft of the camera. Route the included alarm data cable and secure using cable clips.

Run Your Cables

Drill a small access hole to feed the power and Ethernet cables indoors. Ensure cables are not kinked, bent, or pinched.

Plug It All In

Power Cable → Indoor outlet | Ethernet Cable → Camera + Hub | Hub → Within 40 ft of your router

Connect Via App

Download the Pool Angel App, pair your system, and follow the setup steps. You'll be up and running in minutes.

Important Safety Information

Your safety is our priority. Please follow these essential guidelines:

Always supervise children and pets around water. Pool Angel is not a replacement for personal supervision.

Only use the original power adapter and cables provided. Third-party cables may cause malfunctions.

Disconnect power before servicing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the system.

Inspect power cords frequently. Replace immediately if damaged.

Install in accordance with local building codes.

Keep all components out of reach of children.

Reminder: When the system is placed in "Pool in Use" mode, detection and alerts are disabled. Pool Angel will not detect people, pets, or hazards until it's returned to monitoring mode.

Avoid temporary blockages like towels or toys that might obstruct the camera.
